Job Description

The Produce Team Leader is responsible for the exceptional execution of customer service by the entire department. They are responsible for managing department inventory, margin, labor budgets, pricing integrity, and merchandising standards. They will ensure all Produce Team Members receive proper training and supervision. Produce Team Leader will ensure the highest level of execution in regard to ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, rotation, merchandising and building of displays. Maintain & Execute department sets from management or director.

Qualifications

Ability to model and provide exceptional customer service.
Must have a love of natural, organic and local produce.
Ability to lead by example and set clear expectations.
Must have vast produce product knowledge.
Able to oversee and train all proper rotation techniques.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and E-mail.
Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
Stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break.
Ability to bend and stoop to grasp objects, climb ladders, lift loads, up to 50 lbs. unassisted, push and pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs. unassisted

Responsibilities

Daily quality walks and quality of the overall department.
Ensure that each item on the floor has a sign and is in the system correctly.
Communication to each team member (product, seasonal changes, floor direction).
Model and provide exceptional customer service.
Effectively resolve customer issues.
Along with the TL, will train, mentor and coach Team Members to succeed.
Must achieve maintain budgeted comps and margins for the department.
Responsible for inventory and order for the department and keep up to date purchase journals.
Must meet all deadlines in terms of invoices, purchase journals, scheduling etc.
Ensure all compliance logs are completed as necessary.
Must track TM time and attendance
Write and administer performance reviews.
Maintain, Order, & Keep integrity of Floral Displays and Cases.
Effectively communicate with Customers, Team Members and Store Leadership.
Ensure Team Member compliance of all relevant policies and standards.

Produce PM Shift Team Leader

Job Description

The Produce PM Shift Lead is responsible for modeling professional behavior, teach exceptional guest service and ensure guests are always satisfied. You are responsible for holding PM Team Members accountable for achieving the highest level of guest satisfaction, daily work goals, and maintaining cleanliness of the department. When customers enter Village Market the first department they come upon is our produce section, make sure the department is clean and faced to department standards resulting in customer satisfaction. You are responsible for managing department inventory, merchandising, and cleanliness. PM Shift Leaders will ensure Produce Team Members receive proper training and supervision regarding product knowledge, proper rotation, knife handling, merchandising standards, and closing procedures. PM Shift Leader is responsible for a quality and organized close.

Job Description

The Sous Chef is the second in command and direct assistant of the Prepared Foods Team Leader. This person will be in charge when the Team Leader is off-duty and will be responsible for the exceptional execution of guest service by the entire prep foods department. They will help to ensure all Prep Foods Team Members receive proper training and supervision. The Sous Chef will ensure the highest level of execution in regards to merchandising and preparation of food.

Qualifications

Ability to model and provide exceptional guest service.
Must have a love of natural, organic and specialty food.
Must be a Passionate Chef, with creative ideas.
Ability to lead by example and set clear expectations.
Able to oversee and train in all areas of kitchen management including proper rotation and labeling, and food safety and sanitation.
Responsible for using solid cooking fundamentals and techniques
Able to fill-in where needed to ensure service, food safety and sanitation standards
Able to ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition
Knowledge of proper rotation principals
Able to close the kitchen properly, utilizing the closing checklist
Able to assist with checking refrigeration points to ensure all temp logs are filled out properly
Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time, up to 4 hours without a break
Must have exceptional organizational skills
Must be able to bend and lift loads, not to exceed 67 lbs. unassisted
Must be able to push and pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs. unassisted

Responsibilities

Will train, mentor and coach Team Members to succeed.
Effectively resolve guest issues.
Daily execution and maintenance of hot bar, cold bar, soup bar, olive bar, salad case, sandwich case, carving station and packaged prepared foods.
Must oversee any catering.
Assign Prep lists and complete prep list given by TL.
Wear a cut glove.
Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation.
Maintain all compliance logs.
