Job Description

The Prepared Foods Team Member is responsible for providing exceptional customer service. They will make sure the prepared foods sections of the store are well stocked for our customers. They will assist in receiving, storing and stocking of products while ensuring proper rotation and quality. They will fill and garnish the showcase, make sandwiches and pizza and keep all the bars full and clean. They will provides support as a member of the Prepared Foods team to include preparation, counter service, sanitation, and stocking of products.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively resolve customer issues.
  • Keep hot and cold showcases, olive bars, carving station and self-serves fully stocked and cleaned.
  • Follow proper rotation guidelines.
  • Adhere to expectations for filling and garnishing of prepared foods.
  • Maintain proper signage and pricing while paying special attention to listed ingredients and dietary needs.
  • Assist with the sampling program, while keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing.
  • Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
  • Follow all proper cooling and heating procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Effectively communicate with customers, team members and store leadership.
  • Thorough knowledge of all relevant policies and standards.
  • Stocks hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods from kitchen, walk-in preparation, and refrigerators
  • Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings
  • Follows and complies, or ensures compliance, with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
  • Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required
  • Bails and consolidates recyclables
  • Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing

Job Description

The Prepared Foods Team Leader is responsible for the exceptional execution of customer service by the entire prepared foods department. He/she is responsible for managing department inventory, margin, labor budgets, pricing integrity, and merchandising standards. He/she will ensure all prepared foods Team Members receive proper training and supervision. The Prepared Foods Team Leader will ensure the highest level of execution regarding ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, rotation, merchandising and preparation of food.

Qualifications

  • Ability to model and provide exceptional Guest Service.
  • Ability to lead by example and set clear expectations.
  • Must have a minimum two years in a leadership position capacity or equivalent.
  • Able to oversee and train in all areas of kitchen management including proper rotation and labeling, and food safety and sanitation.

  • Inventory and order for the department.
  • Must meet all deadlines in terms of invoices, purchase journals, scheduling etc.
  • Must track Team Member time and attendance.
  • Write an effective weekly labor schedule and adhere to the labor budget.
  • Prepare and administer discussion notes and written notices of discipline.
  • Write and administer performance reviews.
  • Effectively communicate with Guests, Team Members and Store Leadership.

Job Description

The Prepared Foods Assistant Team Leader FOH is responsible for the exceptional execution of customer service by the entire prep foods department. They are responsible for supervising the service counters, maintaining proper pizza production, keeping the carving station, showcase, sandwich case, dip case, soup bar, hot bar, cold bar, salad bar and salads clean and full. They will be responsible for the clear communication between BOH and FOH prepared foods team members. They will ensure all FOH team members receive proper training and supervision to execute at the highest level.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lead by example and set clear expectations.
  • Must have a minimum two years in a leadership position capacity or equivalent.
  • SeveSafe certified preferred.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Ensure all team members are in compliance with the uniform standards in accordance with the handbook.
