Job Description

The Prepared Foods Assistant Team Leader FOH is responsible for the exceptional execution of customer service by the entire prep foods department. They are responsible for supervising the service counters, maintaining proper pizza production, keeping the carving station, showcase, sandwich case, dip case, soup bar, hot bar, cold bar, salad bar and salads clean and full. They will be responsible for the clear communication between BOH and FOH prepared foods team members. They will ensure all FOH team members receive proper training and supervision to execute at the highest level.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lead by example and set clear expectations.
  • Must have a minimum two years in a leadership position capacity or equivalent.
  • SeveSafe certified preferred.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break.
  • Ability to oversee and train in all areas of kitchen management including proper rotation and labeling, as well as food safety and sanitation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to bend and stoop to grasp objects, climb ladders, lift loads up to 50 lbs. unassisted, push and pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs. unassisted.

Responsibilities

  • Model and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Effectively resolve customer issues.
  • Write an effective weekly labor schedule and adhere to the labor budget for FOH.
  • Maintain a record of TM requests for time off, frequency of requests and availability.
  • Must track TM time and attendance and follow the discipline policy when necessary.
  • Must work hand in hand with the team leader (Chef de Cuisine) of prepared foods towards the common goals of excellent service and maintaining all areas of production to the highest standards.
  • Must provide clear communication between FOH and BOH team members.
  • Establish, train and maintain a procedure to communicate pertinent and necessary information including, but not limited to;
  • Product rotation and queued items to ensure a fully merchandised department and limit any out of stock products.
  • Supply a par list to BOH to limit or eliminate all out of stock issues.
  • Must attend weekly meeting with BOH TL, Sous- Chef, Buyer and any shift leaders.
  • Will train, mentor and coach team members to succeed.
  • Model the steps to a successful NSF audit and coach TM’s to full compliance.
  • Ensure all team members are in compliance with the uniform standards in accordance with the handbook.
  • Responsible for supervising the service counters, maintaining proper pizza production, keeping the carving station, showcase, sandwich case, dip case, soup bar, hot bar, cold bar, salad bar and salads clean and full.
  • Wear and coach cut glove adherence as appropriate.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized work station.
  • Will train, mentor, coach and hold team members accountable to all SOPs.
  • Manage and work with team to correct any temperature/holding issues found in maintaining temperature logs as needed.
  • Manage and monitor for 100% compliance of all tare handling procedures.
  • Write an effective weekly labor schedule and adhere to the labor budget for FOH.
  • Maintain a record of TM requests for time off, frequency of requests and availability.
  • Must track TM time and attendance and follow the discipline policy when necessary.
